Prairie Springs at Airdrie, Alberta

The City of Airdrie, with a population of about 35,000, has retained its small-town charm, while providing big-city amenities. A young, family-oriented community, Airdrie offers substantial lifestyle advantages. Over 300 acres of parks and open space, many of which are connected pathways, provide residents with space in which to relax, exercise, and play.

There are 11 public schools and 2 catholic schools in Airdrie, all mere minutes form Prairie Springs. Nose Creek Elementary School just opened a stone's throw from Prairie Springs while a new high school in the city's southwest, designed to service new communities like Prairie Springs is also planned by the Rocky View School District. Many students, especially in the younger grades, are able to walk to school.

Airdrie residents rave about Genesis Place, a world-class recreation and wellness facility, again only minutes from Prairie Springs. The centre features 6 pools, a fitness centre, gymnasiums, sports medicine clinic, and child care. A future phase will have two indoor field houses, a state of the art gymnastics facility and an indoor running track. Plus a regional recreation complex is equipped with twin ice surfaces and a gymnastics club.

A City transit system provides access throughout Airdrie, and the new Airdrie Intercity Express now provides commuters with accessible, affordable and convenient weekday connection to Calgary.
